Fast and Fiery BLT

It’s the BLT with a kick - DI LUSSO® smoked turkey, bacon and pepper jack cheese topped with a fiery 3-chile mayo and served between slices of wheat sourdough.

Ingredients:

  • 12 slices bacon
  • 8 slices wheat sourdough bread, toasted
  • 4 pieces iceberg lettuce, cut into 4-inch squares
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 1 1/3 cups mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped chipotle chiles
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chopped seeded jalapeño pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 4 slices DI LUSSO® Deli Meats and Cheese, Monterey Jack cheese with peppers
  • 9 ounces DI LUSSO® Smoked Turkey

Procedure:

  1. Cook bacon until crisp, drain. Cut each slice in half.
  2. To make 3-chile mayonnaise, in bowl, combine mayonnaise, cilantro, chipotles, garlic, jalapeño and lime juice; mix well. Cover; refrigerate.
  3. Spread 1 tablespoon 3-chile mayonnaise on each slice toast. Divide bacon, turkey, cheese, lettuce and tomato evenly among 4 slices toast. Cover with remaining slices toast, mayonnaise-side-down.
  4. Secure two opposite corners of each sandwich with wooden picks. Cut sandwiches in half diagonally to serve.
