Deli Reuben Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 1 (8 ounce) can sauerkraut, well drained
  • 1/3 cup Thousand Island salad dressing
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg white, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
  • 1/2 pound DI LUSSO® Deli Meats and Cheese, corned beef, sliced
  • 4 slices DI LUSSO® Deli Meats and Cheese, Swiss cheese

Procedure:

  1. Heat oven to 425°F.
  2. Line 9-inch pie plate with pie crust; trim edge. Do not prick crust. Partially bake crust 10 minutes. Cool.
  3. Spread mustard over bottom of crust.
  4. In medium bowl, combine corned beef, sauerkraut, cheese, dressing and sour cream; mix well. Spoon filling into crust.
  5. In circular fashion, cut 1/2-inch strip from outer edge of remaining crust. Attach strip to rim of partially baked crust with water. Cut remainder of crust into 6 wedges. Arrange wedges over filling, slightly overlapping each wedge.
  6. Brush top of crust with egg white; sprinkle with caraway seeds. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
