Ingredients:
1/2 cup DI LUSSO® Genoa Salami, diced
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 cup seasoned dry breadcrumbs plus additional for coating
1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
3 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons Di Lusso® Dijon Mustard
Vegetable oil
Procedure:
In bowl, combine salami, egg, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, the mayonnaise, onions, cheese and hot sauce; mix well. Divide mixture evenly into 24 portions; shape into balls.
Pour remaining breadcrumbs into shallow dish. Coat each salami puff with breadcrumbs.
Heat 2 inches of oil to 350°F. Deep-fry 2 or 3 puffs at a time 1 to 2 minutes or until golden brown; drain. Keep warm. Repeat with remaining puffs.
To make dipping sauce, in bowl, combine sour cream and mustard; mix well. Serve warm puffs with dipping sauce.
