1/2 (17.3oz) package frozen puff pastry (1 sheet), thawed
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon water
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon Di Lusso® Dijon Mustard
2 tablespoons fresh herbs, such as parsley, thyme, basil and oregano, snipped
1 cup DI LUSSO® Roasted Sweet Red Pepper Strips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
On a clean, lightly floured surface, unfold puff pastry sheet.
Roll into a 15x10-inch rectangle.
Using a fluted pastry wheel, cut pasty, on the 15-inch edge into ten 1 1/2-inch strips.
Cut each strip into thirds, making 30 pieces.
Place pastry pieces about 1 inch apart on two baking sheets.
Combine egg and water; lightly brush over each pastry piece.
Bake 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool pastry on wire rack.
For topping, in small bowl combine sour cream, mayonnaise, horseradish sauce, mustard and herbs.
Cover and chill topping until ready to serve.
To serve, spread about 2 teaspoons of the topping onto each pastry piece leaving a small border around the edges.
Arrange the thinly sliced deli meats (accordian-style) over the topping.
Garnish with cherry tomato halves and/or roasted sweet red pepper strips and fresh herb sprigs.
Makes 30 appetizer pieces.
