Ingredients

  • 1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 1/2 cup onion , thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup Fontina cheese , shredded
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese , shredded
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley , chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano or 2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves , chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper , crushed
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 3 1/2 ounces DI LUSSO® Genoa Salami, chopped

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F.
  2. Divide bread dough in half.
  3. Pat or roll one-half of dough into greased 12-inch pizza pan generously sprinkled with cornmeal.
  4. In bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
  5. Top dough with meat mixture, leaving a 1/2-inch border around edges.
  6. Roll or pat remaining bread dough into 12-inch circle.
  7. Place over meat mixture.
  8. Pinch edges together to seal tightly.
  9. Brush top with olive oil.
  10. Cut a slit in center to allow steam to escape.
  11. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown and puffy.
  12. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
